Trifid Cipher
Fractionating cipher over a 3×3×3 cube (26 letters + '+').
Trifid uses a 3×3×3 alphabet of 27 cells (A–Z plus
+). The
period controls how many letters are mixed together before
re-grouping — common values are 5 or 7. Non-letters and lowercase are
stripped automatically.
About this tool
Each letter is encoded as three coordinates from a 3×3×3 lattice. A period controls block size; bigger periods mix letters more.
