How do you calculate field of view?
Angle of view is 2 x atan(sensor dimension / (2 x focal length)). The tool reports horizontal, vertical and diagonal FOV.
Can I use a custom sensor size?
Yes. Provide sensor_width= and sensor_height= in millimeters to override the named sensor.
How do I estimate scene width at a distance?
Add distance= in meters and the tool converts the FOV angle into scene width and height at that distance.
